A would-be burglar is stared down by a pet cat during a foiled theft… before ending up being collared.

Mark Lawson, 42, was caught by CCTV cameras on all fours peering through the window of a property he was casing in Nottingham.

In the footage, after Lawson crawls on all fours up to a door, a ginger moggy is seen glaring back at him through the glass.

The stunned owner of the home witnessed the face-off live through a mobile app from his upstairs bedroom.

He quickly remotely activated the property’s burglar alarm, sending Lawson fleeing from the scene.
