Shocking footage shows the moment a six-year-old girl miraculously survived after falling 40ft from a balcony.

The child plummeted into thick snow before getting up, shaking herself down, and went back home, despite suffering concussion.

Her scary fall from a fourth floor flat in Russian city Tomsk was caught on CCTV camera.

For a second she didn’t move in the thick pile of snow, with only her long dark hair visible.

She appears to be wearing a long sleeved top, soft trousers and light collared socks when she fell in a temperature of minus 6C at around 9pm on Saturday night.

Then she got to her feet, brushed herself off, climbed over a low fence, and ran slowly towards the door of her apartment block on Karl Marx Street.

While no witnesses are seen in the video, it is clear someone called the emergency services because the unnamed girl was rushed to hospital.

She was treated briefly in intensive care before moving to a regular ward at Tome ambulance Hospital Number Two.
